Given its location in the heart of Copenhagen, SKT. PETRI stands as a fine example of the very best in minimalist Scandinavian design—with a warm welcoming glow and a refreshing humorous edge. The light-filled lobby is an apt introduction to the many quirky experiences created by local architect Erik Møllers Tegnestue at the SKT. PETRI – being a renovated former department store designed by Vilhelm Lauritsen, dating back to the 1930s. The mezzanine reception area is filled with clean lines and characteristic curves of functionalism, and sizable rings of light float above the space. Changing art and design exhibitions add to the cosmopolitan flair of the lobby. The adjoining Restaurant Petri is, next to the Bar Rouge,
another socializing hub. It playfully acts on this by featuring mirrors carefully placed around the high-backed dividing seating blocks that tantalizingly encourage stealing glances from unsuspecting guests at other tables. Serving traditional Danish products such as organic vegetables and high quality meat, the dishes are prepared in an innovative partly fusion style. With a mix of locals and people from all over the world, the restaurant provides a truly international experience. Skt Petri Hotel is a head partner / sponsor for CIOOA, and will be providing all the rooms for our 9 international judging panel that will be coming from around the world for 3 nights in wonderful Copenhagen to crown the olive oil winner with gold.
